First Aid at Work (FAW) Level 3

The First Aid at Work (FAW) course is the most comprehensive first aid training for the workplace. It covers various CPR and first aid skills and equips first aiders with the knowledge to apply first aid to specific injuries and illnesses.  

The First Aid at Work course is suitable for all industries and enables employers to meet HSE and HSENI requirements. After completing an RLSS UK FAW course, candidates receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification.​​

Who is the course for?

Everyone! Individuals and organisations are advised to take a First Aid at Work course to provide and deliver first aid skills within their workplaces. Candidates must be a minimum of 16-years-old at the time of taking the First Aid at Work assessment, and no prior first aid knowledge is required.

Course Content:

A range of subjects are covered within the First Aid at Work course, including: 

  • Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider 

  • How to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally 

  • How to manage a casualty who is in shock 

  • How to assess an incident 

  • How to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking 

  • How to manage a casualty with a minor injury

  • How to conduct a secondary survey 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds 

  • How to provide first aid to a casualty with a suspected major illness 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles, and joints 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries 

  • How to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis

What does this course Cost?

This three day course can be run at your own business premises. All that is required is a room, with enough space, and a tv to use for the PowerPoint presentation.

The maximum number of candidates on each course is 12 at a cost of £1,300 which includes all materials and certificates.  

​

If you do not want all 12 spaces there is an option to pay per person at a cost of £250 each. Please contact us for more information.
